The company was founded in 2017 by Sam and Kristi, who have worked together in business and community service ventures for over 25 years. We started Choice Auto Repair as an in-house service provider for locally owned used and rental car dealerships, as well as taxi companies in the airport industrial area.

 

As the industry has evolved, so has the shop, combining modern diagnostic tools and methods with strong mechanical experience built over decades in the field. We later brought the shop to Kapolei, where both family and community ties made it a natural fit for us, as this is where our family is rooted and continues to be actively involved in local business and community efforts.

Sam brings over 45 years of professional automotive experience, with a strong focus on diagnostics and vehicle assessment. Kristi brings strong leadership and entrepreneurship experience across service-based industries and operations. Together, we guide the shop with a practical, service-driven approach that continues to support both individual customers and fleet partners across Oʻahu.
